Description
First created in 1588 during the reign of Elizabeth I, these simple yet elegant dishes are also known as Armada Dishes. This name comes from the fact that they were originally made from captured Spanish treasure during the Spanish Armada. The original Elizabethan design has remained virtually unchanged for nearly 500 years, featuring a broad flat rim and a raised centre, with two parallel lines embellishing the outer edge.
Available in three different sizes, 8”, 10” and 12” diameter all dishes are hand crafted in our Sheffield workshops.
